As a parent of multiple in an array of competitive arenas I am well acquainted with the transparency and communication necessary. After a year of supporting this business in both time and money, we decided to take the leap to participate more competitively. To facilitate time-wise all other opportunities were set aside. As parents we understand to well the amount of money, time and commitment required to develop our children. Experiencing a complete lack of communication and professionalism from this establishment has been heartbreaking. There is no excuse.
Excellent place for beginners and even though the coaches are young they do an excellent job teaching the little ones as well as the club teams. Coach Val and coach Hazel really put on the effort on teaching the little ones. They have so much patience with them. It is importan to note the kids at the peewee camp are hard to maintain their focus on learning. Coach Val and Hazel are very skill to keep them on track and make them enjoy during the class.
I love all coaches and good facilities! Affordable compare to other clubs.
Disappointed! In spite of a school mom's advice, I signed up my daughter. This is not a true volleyball "academy" or school. They have some of their own young students leading the classes, and although they are skilled to show the kids the fundamentals, they have no knowledge on how to actually teach/coach. We had coach Val (still in high school) with Hazel (recently graduated) leading the class and eventually it was only Hazel with different assistants. Coach Hazel, although skilled in how she showed the girls, had no actually coaching skills, and I doubt she has the credentials to teach/train/coach kids. I had to take my daughter out after 4 sign ups since she was losing motivation. I have coached before several sports and I observed a handful of girls I saw developing well who were kept in academy 1 while others not so good were bumped up. My daughter felt bad for some of her friends who were really good but still got reassigned to academy 1 at least 2 times before we decided to leave this "academy" for good. We weren't the only ones, as several other parents expressed their concerns while we watch on the bleachers. They may all seem nice but as a parent, you cannot expect your kid to stay motivated getting "taught" volleyball by older teens. Coach Hazel is definitely not fit to coach. It is a great location and great facility but the owner needs to make the change to new and older more experienced coaches. Experienced not in playing like these girls, but experienced in actual coaching and building the skills of these kids.
