I feel obligated to express my disappointment in the leadership of this club for parents’ awareness when shopping clubs. The coaches are all amazing people and I am grateful for what they tried to do for our daughter and the other girls on the team, within their control. However, the head coach was changed on our 1s team after we signed our contract two years in a row. (We are not the only Pulse girl’s team that this happened to.) We gave a lot of grace the first year because things happen, no club is perfect, and we appreciated the coaches’ efforts to make lemonade out of lemons. Then year two, on Day 2 of tryouts, a new coach and his daughter joined the team. He is an old friend of leadership. We were told that he would just be an assistant and our concerns about favoritism were dismissed. Come December, he quickly became the head coach, changed the practice time to fit his schedule and he ran all of the practices for the entire season. We had to ask for equal practice time on multiple occasions throughout this year. As you can imagine the lack of practice changed the dynamic of the team and the trajectory of some of the players’ season. The club is convenient, with many courts available so that practice days and times are consistent. The families are sweet, the coaches have been incredibly kind, and we are not naive to think any club is without its challenges, but the dishonesty of leadership with the parents over and over again is unacceptable.
We have been to a couple of other clubs, and our experiences were fine. At least that is what I thought before we came to Pulse Volleyball Club this year. The difference is incredible. The coaching, the pace of the practices, and the overall vibe of the club is amazing. We could not be happier.
"A Top-Notch Volleyball Club with a Family Feel!" Both of my boys played for Pulse Athletics Volleyball Club starting at the age of 14, and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. The club isn't just about volleyball—it's about building character, discipline, and lifelong friendships. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, dedicated, and genuinely care about each player's growth, both on and off the court. Their guidance and training played a huge role in helping my boys achieve their dreams of playing at the Division I and Division III collegiate levels. If you're looking for a volleyball club that prioritizes player development, teamwork, and a positive culture, Pulse Athletics is the perfect choice. Highly recommend!
I have played for three years here and had the greatest experience. Coming from having no clue on what volleyball was in my sophomore year of high school, the coaching helped me grow and adapt to the game as I eventually went to Nationals in my final year there. The coaches are invested in their jobs, and are in love with the sport of volleyball as a passion to where their enthusiasm for the players bleeds into their outlook to help the players thrive. Also the atmosphere to grow is encouraging with athletes trying to make themselves better in every way they can. Not to mention, the facility that is used the USA national team is great and it holds a sense of pride for all young athletes with that dream. Overall, this club program is wonderful, and I will always love each coach who helps build it further.
Pulse is one of the largest volleyball clubs in the heart of orange county. At each socal volleyball tournament, there are more Pulse teams than any other clubs. It's well run. Clubs for both boys and girls under 18, each high school age group plus one tier for before high school. Highly recommend it.
