This is a tough call. On one hand, they foster people as they get better. On the other hand, if you are just starting out you might get to hit the ball three times during the entire class. I would not bring my child here again, but I'm sure it is a good spot to go if you already know how to play and you are older
We tried and had higher hopes because it seems like a credible club and they have a few good coaches but if you don’t get those coaches specifically it’s sub par. Plus there’s a lot of mean girl energy.
i played at legacy for 8 amazing years!! i have had such a positive experience with each and every coach, it even inspired me to want to coach for a year. the bonds i have made with my teams and staff will last me a lifetime. i am currently playing division 1 volleyball at LMU and i have legacy to thank for that. i wouldn’t be the person or player i am today without them. legacy is truly a family and anyone who has played for them will tell you the same:)
It's a hard no and if you go to this club it's only a matter of time until you see why. I had 2 kids going here for multiple years and the owner had no idea. Coaches can be rude and emotionally taxing but it was no surprise to find out that they are treated poorly which makes sense. A big red flag to my family (and others) was that the owner somehow got elected into the indoor vb hall of fame when he has alleged harassment against him (like what?) and still continues to coach girls volleyball (again, like what?). That's beyond weird I'm sorry. Some families choose to ignore it but my kids will not be in those doors alleged or not. It clearly isn't a safe place for anyone. They say "what legacy will you leave". The answer is this one. We are literally leaving this legacy club.
We love Legacy! Our daughter started with the clinics when she was in second grade and fell in love with the sport. Our family loves the positive energy and the experienced coaches at Legacy. We ventured to another local league for additional experience but it did not compare to the caliber Legacy has to offer. Because of the family who owns the club’s wealth of knowledge and experience, we wouldn’t send our daughter anywhere else!
