My daughter joined Figs two years ago, and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. She absolutely loves being part of this club. The environment they have created is welcoming, supportive, and empowering, helping the girls grow both as athletes and as confident young people. I pay attention to the little things, and I’ve seen firsthand how girls come into the program feeling timid and unsure of themselves, only to be walking with their heads held high and having fun within a matter of days. The athletes here genuinely seem happy, and it’s clear they enjoy being part of the club. The owners, Evita and Juanchi, have built something truly special. From the moment you join, you feel like part of a family. I know I can count on a laugh at every practice, and we genuinely love the coaches. They make our lives easier and less stressful because there is no drama or cattiness—just a positive and supportive atmosphere. My daughter also takes private lessons, and one thing I appreciate is how they emphasize that the game is both mental and physical. The coaches know how to connect with the girls at their level while still maintaining professionalism and respect. My daughter has told me that since joining Figs, she has become much more receptive to constructive feedback because she knows she is being taught the right way and that the coaches genuinely care about her development. What stands out most is that we never feel like just another family helping fill an overcrowded roster. The focus is on the players, their growth, and their success. I hope this club continues to grow and thrive. We are incredibly grateful to be part of the Figs family, and I will always recommend Figs Club to others.I’m
Choosing a volleyball club can be difficult for families weighing things like coaches, reputation, cost, and culture. Our daughter learned more at FIGS in one year than in four years at other volleyball clubs, all thanks to Juanchi and Caitlyn! FIGS isn't about cramming in players— just numbers. No, they're truly family-oriented and care about their athletes. They focus on real skill development and helping players reach their goals. Not pointless drills over and over. The facility's great. They have elite coaching and an amazing culture. We almost gave up finding a drama-free, toxic free club until we found Juanchi. Friends recommended FIGS, and we're so glad we finally found our “volleyball home”. FIGS is very honest and straightforward—no gimmicks or distractions, just hard work. You're there to train with the best, be the best, and play against the best! Their credentials are impressive. You won't be disappointed and you'll be happy that your time and money were truly well spent—not just a tournament t-shirt and an empty bank account at the end of the season. If you're looking for the best, FIGS is the place—otherwise move over…our girls have work to do!
Don’t be fooled by FIGS Volleyball’s boutique image. Behind the sleek branding lies an extremely mediocre club, entirely limited by a director whose lack of professionalism, childish insecurities, and borderline toxic behavior prevent the organization from ever reaching a standard of excellence While the actual coaching staff is decent, their efforts are completely undermined by leadership that is unwilling to perform basic administrative and promotional duties. A director’s job is to elevate the entire organization, but here, personal baggage and a fragile ego dictate how the club is run. Instead of an athlete centered environment, management is driven by personal whims and a total lack of emotional maturity, creating an unstable atmosphere that compromises the integrity of the whole club. This management style directly sabotages the players' futures, actively stalling their athletic growth and undermining the digital exposure critical for college recruitment. When management operates on emotional whims rather than professional standards, the athletes pay the price. Throughout this entire season, there was a severe lack of communication and a complete absence of preparedness from the club’s management. Social media coverage for the travel teams was virtually non-existent, there was zero administrative effort to post tournament schedules, recognize older athletes, or leverage the club's platform to share player highlight reels. The sole exception to this media blackout was the specific youth team the director’s daughter happens to play on, which received consistent spotlighting. If your kid is just looking to play in a local, less-competitive league where high-level management and exposure don't matter, this club might be an okay option. However, if you are looking for a true travel team experience, please stay far away from this place. Ultimately, it is a massive disservice to pay 'boutique' fees to an organization that prioritizes the director’s personal family schedule and insecurities over the recruitment needs of its own members; you are paying for a premium image but receiving a volatile environment where the athletes will never be the priority. As parents, customers, and hardworking players, we deserve much more than this culture of mediocrity.
Having experienced other clubs, Figs has a unique family oriented culture that is fostered by Juanchi and Evita Figueroa. I have seen them night after night interacting with parents and taking the time to get to know each family and player. You can feel their genuineness throughout the club. From a coaching and mentoring perspective, the coaches are focused on developing and improving the players form, skills, and mental strength required to be the best they can be. We feel fortunate and grateful to be part of the Figs family!
We love FIGS volleyball! Our girls started with Coach Juan at another club. They absolutely loved him. When FIGS volleyball club opened it was a no brainier to move over and continue the journey. We will always be a “FIGS for life” family.
