These coaches are truly awesome. They’re not only great trainers but also incredible motivators who really push players to improve. My son had been a varsity libero for three years in high school but decided to transition to playing back row and becoming a hitter in his senior year. Pre-season, he joined District, made the team through tryouts, and trained with them in that new role. Along with two other players from our high school, he spent months working with these coaches in the preseason—and they went on to win their high school league championship. He’s now a lead player on the team with the most kills and digs. As a side note, my daughter, who is a freshman in high school, is also training with them and has improved a lot. We’re really grateful for the impact they’ve had while still keeping it fun.
My daughter is two clinics in and every time we end clinics, she feels more confident in her volleyball skills. Clinics are held on Sunday afternoons, which is really great for our schedule. Coach Derek Duran is an amazing coach, he is very interactive and creates fun drills for the kids! He has been coaching for about 20 years and has multiple championships under his belt! I can confirm that the clinics are worth it!
My daughter all of a sudden decided that she wants to try volleyball this year so I told her she would need to get into a clinic to improve her skills. I was delighted to find out about District Volleyball. The main coach, Derek Duran was selected CIF Coach of the Year 2025. I signed up for the 8-session package which was the best deal. I noticed an improvement in my daughter and her friends skills immediately and we’re looking forward to seeing further improvements in the very near future. I highly recommend District Volleyball. One of the best if not the best volleyball clinic in SGV. Coaches are great and great with kids!
My 11-year old daughter started volleyball for the first time a couple of months ago and attends District’s clinics. The amount of growth and improvement is incredible. Volleyball isn’t an easy sport, and you really have to learn the fundamentals well if you want to build your skills on a solid foundation. However, at this age, a huge obstacle to learning is it’s hard to persevere when you’re new to something and not immediately good at it. District makes learning so much fun that you don’t even realize you’re learning. The kids think they’re playing games, and have such a great time! But the form, the timing, the positive mindset and teamwork, these skills are developing so much it’s really awesome to witness! We’re hoping that as she learns more, her dedication to learning will deepen even more and she’ll be ready to try out for District’s club team someday! Highly recommend!
We’ve had such a great experience with this 15U volleyball team. The coaches are awesome and really care about the girls and helping them improve. My daughter has grown so much as a player and in her confidence since joining the team. The team vibe is super positive and the girls really support each other. It honestly feels like a little family. We’re really thankful for the time and dedication the coaches put into the team. So grateful for this experience and would definitely recommend this program to other families! 🏐💕
