Balboa Bay VBC is a special organization-one that takes pride in teaching youth the fundamentals of the sport in a way that maximizes equity. By that I mean every coach is a teacher, and uses his or her teaching experience to make sure kids are learning at all times. Balboa as an organization focuses on consistency of experience. Every team counts, and the same quality of the instruction is expected on the best team as it is on its most developmental team.
I didn't play volleyball. I don't know the game. What I do know as a parent is love. Volleyball is love; a verb (so much action), a noun (a place). Balboa provides a podium for this love. Balboa is a heart beat. My boy and many of yours channel arteries that flood oxygen into the club. Balboa is a vessel that consistently pumps greatness with the O2. They champion together with us. As players, they discover, they uncover, they recover from what was in their day. In the end, they win regardless of the tone of a medal. They win because as a family we give it all that we have and we leave love on the court. One two three, Balboa Bay.
We have had with our older boys and continue to have with our current BBVC son, a wonderful experience with this very well run club. The coaching is solid, the club is organized and well run. We have three boys who have all played with BBVC, all different levels and all have loved their experience with this volleyball club. It is a family vibe, while also teaching the boys discipline and receiving high level training. We wouldn't consider any other club, thank you BBVC.
Balboa Bay club works diligently to become a family. Their commitment to developing and teaching proper volleyball techniques is a priority under the leadership of Travis Turner and his pipeline of “high level” coaches. The players are constantly getting touches. Balboa Bay Club has created an environment where players are really listened to and encouraged to become leaders both on and off the court. These coaches really grow the players overall games. We’ve been at other clubs….. but have found our son’s “perfect fit” at Balboa
My niece went to the clinics a few years back and absolutely loved it. They do such a great job at teaching the basics and much more. She felt that she was seen and felt very comfortable during the clinic. This helped her gain confidence and improve her volleyball skills.
